December 2, 2009 Gifts

1. I looked at my english grades for my world lit I class, and my participation grade has gone from an F to a D, so my grade for the course is at a B-!! :) :)
2. I went to coffeehouse tonight(last of the semester) and it was fun!I played spades(card game)with three guys and it was lots of fun. LOL
3. I ordered 4 book on China and its culture from the reading list that the China Calls program send me! the more i think about this program the more i want to do it and the more excited in get. lol
4. I went grocery shopping today, so I actually have good in the house now! i bought cheedar chesse(the shreeded kind)and ham cubes so I am going to try to make scrambled eggs with ham and cheese! lol
5. I laughed a lot today, I was social today, I talked with people today(good conversations).
6. I did not cry today

I dont know if this a good thing, but during coffeehouse today, i was sitting outside, reading my china calls pamplet, and there was this christmas tree there. it didnt have any ornaments on it and the lights were all white(no colored lights). I was talking to my friend Brent and being the christmas geek he is(sadly, he's converted me as well lol)he said that it looked very classic. at that moment, i realized that "classic"did not work for me. i dont want a "classic"formal tree, i want a informal, unique tree. i know, i totally dont know what this means either, but i guess it was a bit of an insight into millie you know?millie does not like "classic."to millie, "classic" means...dull.(no offense intended).
8. I started ESL teaching today at southern hills during HIP!! i am so excited! my student is from Nepal, and her name is Gira Maya Kai, and she is 23. she is speaking english well already and can write good, so it is a bit different teaching than with nancy but good nevertheless. it was so good and i enjoyed it so much!lol
