1. had to leave amazing race because I woke up feeling a bit worse than yesterday, and i have early library shifts and classes back to back  tomorrow and I need to be semi-better. so I took a cab home. this is not the the good part, but I am glad I made it home safely. i was a bit out of it.
2. spent all day sleeping!
3. my voice is better; yersterday i was losing my voice but today it's better
4. i did not cry today
5. Brent Bailey actually responded to my facebook message!

January 17, 2010 Gifts from God

1. my usual ride to church didnt show up, but I took a cab to church. sounds weird, but there was no one else to give me a ride, and I am proud of myself for finding a way to get there.
2. service was good!
3. made chili(helped in large part by Shannon). it turned out ediable, and Kelli said she thought it was good!
4. cried today, but no one saw me(reason: lots of different factors, but somehow the idea that I am losing Brent Bailey as a friend got into my head tonight, and i was also feeling sick, so put those two things together and...)
5. i am alive today
6. spent the night at the church, and i found a kind of cozy pew to sleep in.

January 16, 2010 Gifts

1. bought a printer!! so excited! :) now I can print photos and things(and scan them!)without having to go to the library!
2. had my Jesus Date today!we went to Chili's(my idea) and then watched Pride& Prejudice. Jesus made me/helped me see/notice more than the romance in the movie, such as Elizabeth Bennet's idependence and strength; she did not settle, not for Mr. Collins, not even for Mr. Darcy at first. She didnt NEED a man in her life. I want to be like that too. also, Mr. Darcy says to Elizabeth: "you must know, surely you must know, it was all for you." I think-no I know, Jesus says the same thing about dying for us: it was ALL for us. in short, it was a good date.
3. ordered pizza from papa johns.

Gifts from God

1. My Spanish class went well today. Still shy about speaking Spanish but getting better.
2. My economics class is going well so far. I am understanding the material and am not lost.
3. God had a friend tell me that He smiles when He thinks of me and that He always gives her images of light when she asks Him stuff about me and that I am his little star.
4. Long story short is that I dropped canoe camping coz being able to swim is an important factor in going and so I changed my Thursday second library shift to afternoon and so I will be able to still go to my SBC chapels!!
5. Signed up to lead our Friday bible time during our SBC to New Orleans. a but scared but excited as well. plus that day is my birthday. Did it on purpose, choosing that night.

God's Gifts to Me

1. LOVED my CIV I class today!!so interesiting and amazing to hear about where we as humans came from and how the world we know today got started. 
2. LOVED my Third Reich class today!! we're on background knowledge right now, but I am so so excited and loving every minute!
3. I got funding for my SBC to New Orleans!!I applied for funding at Southern Hills coz they said that they would give funding to all southern hill members going on an SBC. so I applied and I got an email from Jack Walker today saying that the International Missions Team will fund half the cost of my SBC(that's $150!!). it's so awesome to have that support behind me, that they want me to go so much that they would pay half the cost you know?
4. got 3 prospectus from grad schools in England. 2 in London, 1 in Nottingham. I know that I wont get in and that it is a pipe dream but I am going to try. if I don't,then I will never know. 
5. my good mood persists! it got a bit bit bit low during Manna &More at Southern Hills, but nothing bad at all, just a tiny blip.

1. got through my first spanish comp. and macroeconomics classes today. they will both be challenging and tough but if i stick to it, put the time in and  work hard I should do well in them and learn loads!
2. I GOT A JOB!!!! granted, my chapel exception request needs to be approved since 3 of my times of working will be during chapel but still!! i will be working in periodicals again, so awesome!!
3. went to dinner(second night in a row that i eat dinner with a friend and both times they have asked)with a friend at Chillis.
4. first sing song practice was today. it went...okay. had a bit of those feelings of feeling jealous and not good enough compared to Emily Hood but it was good overall.
5. laughed today
6. had lunch at Rosa's today!

January 11,2010 Gifts from God

1. I started classes today and they were all awesome! I know my classes will be tough, lots of reading it looks like so far and a 10 page paper,but i am so excited about all of them and cannot wait! I think it will be a good semester for me!
2. I had dinner with my friend Haley, and it was such a good time! we went to little panda and talked and it was a fun time. I made her laugh a lot which makes me happy coz i love to make people laugh. she said that she could see how God has been working in me since I got to ACU, and that was a highlight of the day for me.
3. Brent actually texted me! this is always a high coz i always text him. granted we were both in the starbucks area of the cafeteria and he was letting me know he saw me, but still! lol
4. got started on my history 117 homework. we have to read a chapter a week with a quiz each monday(friday this week). the chapters are kind of long and I am taking notes as I go along so that makes it doubly long but I really want to do good in my classes this semester and I truly want to learn. plus I love history!
5. I made it without soda today!
6. I have been in a really good mood today, like yesterday. i feel...light. like something huge and heavy and worrysome has been either made really light or taken away.

God's Gifts To Me Today

1. went to church today! i love southern hills so much and i always miss it when i am gone.
2. i was SO happy and in a good mood today! even at church, i got that feeling i used to get fall of sophomore year(before i went to england):that feeling of being happy and content and loving being there and feeling like my battery was being recharged. so awesome!
3. i bought groceries at wal-mart. had to take a cab back to up because i had 7 heavy bags of groceries but i bought $67 worth which should be enough for about 2 weeks. i am not getting a mLocateal plan this semester,so i am cooking all of my meals and only 2-3 meals out a week.
4. bought my school books today!expensive(still need to get 2 for my spanish composition class) but they look interesting and i am so excited for classes to start tomorrow!
5. made dinner plans with my friend haley for tomorrow! :)

1. got up at 5:30am to go back to Abilene from Red River. we left around 7am and got back to Abilene around 7pm, so we spent about 12 hours in a van!
2. we stopped for lunch at a sonic and i had the popcorn chicken and it was good!
3. saw some beautiful mountains
4. listened to music all the way back to abilene
5. had my first "jesus date" today

January 3, 2010 Gifts from God

1. My 7 hour wait for the greyhound bus went by fast so that was good.
2. during my greyhound wait/layover, I got to talking to this guy and it was fun!we talked until it was time for me to go. silly random conversation, nothing serious but it was my first "encouter"with someone that has given my a glance at how some people view/think of Christian "lifestyle" for lack of a better word.
3. fell asleep on the bus to abilene, so it went by pretty fast.
4. got in a 5 hour nap as soon as i walked in the door to my apartment
5. it was so awesome to walk in to my apartment all nice and clean and neat(i cleaned before i left) and just being in my apartment in general.
6. i dont have to hide my tattoos anymore!lol

1. in between my crazy flight adventure(to say the least) i found a  chillis in the detroit airport
2. managed not to have a breakdown today
3. did not die in a plane crash today
4. looked on the bright/positive  side of the airline misplacing my luggage, thankfully it was found and is being shipped to my parents
5. while i was delayed it still wasnt so bad that i couldnt make it back to abilene on time

1. Slept in until almost 2pm today!
2. had such a good drive to the movies tonight!
3. saw "have you heard about the morgans?" and it was so funny!!
4. on the drive back home it was snowing, and I must admit...it was so...beautful and almost magical. I must confess that I do love New England and I could see myself living here, I just dont want to.
