August 26,2009 Gifts

1. I took the Spanish CLEP Exam today. my goal was to CLEP out out of 9 hours....I ended up CLEP-ing out of 12 hours! that is the max number of hours you can CLEP out of! my major requires 15 hours of a foreign language, and so i only need 1 advanced spanish class and i am all set! i am also thinking about tacking on a spanish minor...you need 18 hours of spanish to get a spanish minor, so i would only need to take 2 more spanish classes since i already have 12 hours worth. also,thanks to the 12 hours, i will be a senior after this semester! i will still graduate late but it's still better to say i am 21 and a senior than i am 21 and a junior! :)
2. got a ride to church!i do like going to HIP...as much as i love southern hills, it still amazes and scares me a bit how much i love going there and how much it helps me in terms of re-energizing and meeting people.
3. Evan didnt sit behind me in English today, he sat one seat behind me on the row to my left. i was still aware of him and...gosh, i forgot how cute he is and how much i liked his voice....however, i stayed cool and so far so good.
4. i turned in my paperwork to change my major before the friday of the first week of school, so it is on the computer!it went up today...it is official...i am an international studies major. :) :)

1. had dinner at Taylor and Jessica's house...it was SO good and it was so good to spend some time with them.
2. my intro to international relations class looks like it will be interesting but maybe a little challenging.

5. talked to Trevor today..not a whole conversation but a mini one I guess you could call it...i dont know, i still feel like something's...off. he wasnt talking to me the way he used to to...he seemed (to me anyway)to be...hesitant is the word. maybe it's just my fear. anyway, i am trying not to be angry to cover my fear so it was a good start i suppose

1. had an awesome world lit I class...it will be challenging but so interesting and worth it.
2. had an awesome opening chapel..got teary as i predicted.
3. actually had the nerve to remove a guy's bandana(he looks way cuter and hotter without it). granted, i know him and he's a friend, but for me, that is way way more contact than i willingly do with a guy
4. didnt get all that nervous when i had to introduce myself at LYNAY and at coms 111...enjoyed it actually and made people laugh. maybe there's hope for me after all...

1. helped cover the entire amplitheathre with plastic this morning!it was hot...tiring...and got on my nerves towards the end but it was worth it! :)
2. helped serve dessert at dinner tonight...lemon meringue pie...again, tiring and exhasuting but it was fun :)
3. saw trevor today...he hasnt answered my facebook messages or written on my wall in months, and he acts like he's done nothing wrong?!i am NOT a bommerang...he cant just throw me whenever he wants and expect me to come back each time. lol...anyway, despite being annyoed bordering anger, it was nice to see him again.
4. saw brent today...took him like 5-10 minutes to realize that i was standing less then 2 feet away, but he did eventually. it was so nice seeing him face to face again;he's such a good friend.
5. saw jessica today...such a good friend!
6. i could go on and on about all the friends i saw today, but i did see a lot of friends i havent seen since january, so it was so good!
7. my friend in england liked the pics i send! i was nervous, coz i've never send pics to a guy before, but thankfully he liked them. :) :)
8. therapy session today...it was good. talked about my nevevousness about being back on campus and about the effect my friend's..."past"had on me.

1. served dinner to new students...the plates were SO hot but it was fun
2. after serving dinner I rn into my friend haley and we went to a chinese buffet for dinner and the she took my to wal mart so i could buy some kitchen stuff! cool huh?

4. took some pictures of me tonight(straighten my hair yesterday). i actually felt...beautiful.

1. I stayed up a bit late last night/this morning, so I slept in until about 11:30am! not bad for summer time :)
2. I put away a good chunk of my clothes today. I just need to get LOTS of hangers(and a bin)from Wall-Mart and I can start hanging up the rest in my closet, which they should fit okay. after that, it is the icing on the cake:putting away the rest of my books and souvenirs around my room. I put some of my GATA stuff out, like my letters,and they look nice! my room is starting to come together!
3. My Bejeweled game is here!!! I LOVE that game and now I have it!! :) :)

1. WENT TO SOUTHERN HILLS TODAY!!!! I took a cab since I didnt have a ride, but it was nice. I was too nervous to go into the pancake bar, so i just went to the auditiorium and listened to the rehearsal before the service. the service was so good! gosh, I loved every second of it. didnt truly realize how much I missed it! I think it it gonna be such a good year.
2. after church went over to Ellen and Sam's house with a bunch of others. we had lunch and played some card games, flipped quarters, looked at money, credit cards, and driver licenses under a black light. so nice to get to know new people.

1. ran into my friend Halley at the library today, and she helped me get some of my stuff out of storage. not all of it...some boxes, my mushroom chair, my bike, and some other odds and ends, but a good 3/4 of my stuff! I just need to get another friend to help me get the rest of my stuff, which shouldnt be that hard. I put away some stuff, and set aside lots of clothes I never wear and other things to throw out, so for a few hours work my room is starting to come together a bit.

1. I was reading outside the campus center today and this man came up to me and asked if I was gonna be a writer, because he always sees me reading. we talked for a few minutes, and it was nice having think that the fact that I always read is something really good. confidence booster I guess. lol


2. The manager of the campus store remebered me! the second time i went in today, he told me that it was "nice to have me back."lol..i love ACU because you can be gone for over half a year, and when u come back, the campus store manager will still remeber you and the chief of the university police will still remeber that you used to ride a bike(really happened to me btw). nice to be remenbered you know?


3. walked to walk mart today(yay!!) and bought my bathroom stuff. I knew I wanted a "theme" so to speak, and I was gonna go with red. i guess it was more of a color scheme than a theme. but then I saw all the "themed" bathroom stuff, and I decided to go for a rose theme. all the bathroom stuff was arranged on the shelf by theme and color, so it all matched you know?then I almost bought the stuff but decided to go for the butterfly theme. I am SO glad I did...the rose theme would have looked nice but the red would have been a little too dark. the butterfly theme is colorful, fun, and very me. i love butterflies! they represent change and becoming something totally different than what you started out as. I also love that butterflies are so...beautiful and seem so delicate, yet they are difficult to catch, so they are stronger than they appear to be. i love that when a butterfly gets close to a person, the person is happy and gets a bit excited about that because it's rare and they are such beautiful creatures. i am gonna put some of my england souverniers in there, so the theme will end up being: "butterflies in england." cool huh? but it looks so much better already! I got: shower curtain, shower curtain hook, small bin, toilet lid cover( didnt come as part of the theme, but i bought a lid that was a color that would match the theme), toilet brush kit, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, 2 bathroom rugs, towel, and hand towel . everything but the lid is butterfly theme and it looks so awesome!! i so love it!!!!
4. went to arby's for lunch...will be eating there once a day for a week, seriously!

August 5, 2009 Gifts

1. rode the Heathrow Express train, first class, to Heatrow! it was practically empty so it was relaxing and so cool! a crew member helped me with my suitcases so it was really cool.
2. got through airport security...it was a hassle and long lines but got through it!
3. the flight was delayed a bit due to waiting for passangers and a flight attentant from another flight and then again when we were nearing Dallas, and I thought the guy sitting next to me was a terroist, but for a 10-11 hour flight it went by pretty fast and other than some turbulance it was pretty relaxing. watched Harry Potter 2 and part of "The Birds." sadly, it did not live up to its scary reputation. oh well.
4. the lunch on the flight was good...i had chicken mediterian, and it was SO good!
5. I actually used the toilet on the plane! the lock was not hard to use...standard slide across and it had light that came on when u locked the door...nice. lol lol
6. made it back to the USA safe and sound

Auguat 4, 2009 Gifts

1. went to see the UK Houses of Parliment...they're opened for the summer, so I booked a tour!! so amazing...it was so amazing to learn a bit about their goverment. oddly enough, there were so many similarities between theirs and ours...I guess the men who set up american's goverment based a lot of their ideas on the british goverment. it was cool and amazing to be able to go inside.
2. went to see hairspray...it was a good show, lots of fun. not one i would go back and see, and the movie was better i thought, but it was still good. glad i went.

1. went to see Kensington Palace today...SO amazing!I got to be in the room where Princess Victoria awoke to the news that she was now Queen! how cool is that?!the gardens were so beauitufl and some rooms had this amazing view of them...wow. they also had princess Diana's dresses on exibitit, and they were so beautiful! i know zero about fashion, and even i saw how they were classy, sophisticated, yet had this...extra something...a fun flair about them. i fell in love with this gorgoeous black dress (a little black dress) that had a skirt of about...above the knee...wow. gorgeous!! :)
2. went into Buckingham Palace today...words cannot describe how gorgous that palace is! I got to be in the room where all 4 of the Queen's children And Princes William and Harry were baptized/christianed...whatever it's called. in the white drawing room there is this...door that leads to the Queen's private rooms, yet it doesnt look like a door but a mirror. cool huh? the gardens...wow. this whole other beautiful amazing world...amazing. beyond amazing.
3. went to bella italia today for dinner, and i finished the ciabatta side AND all of the chicken and new potatoes(not the roasted veggies)in my main meal AND 1/2 of my dessert...plus I had a medium 1/4 pounder for lunch before i went on my tour! that is way unusual for me! it was so good though...
4. went to see the proposal today for the 3rd time. was gonna go the london eye, but i've been there twice and it doesnt get dark until late so i wouldnt have been able to see london at night. oh well. next time. anyway, i laughed a lot! i was craking up by the end...i need to get that on DVD! :) :)
5. discovered that my friend(mentioned in yesterday's entry)also posses the power to make me blush and ambarras me...in a good way...over text messaging. it is a good thing because...let's not go there.

August 2, 2009 Gifts

1. went to see the lion king today(for the 3rd time, i know). it was so cool! it only gets better and better the more i go see it! it was sunday manatee, so for 54 pounds I got a stall seat(not balcony) and it was an isle seat, so when the animals and things came in at the beginning, they passed right by my seat!cool huh?i did cry/tear up and i bought the soundtrack. original cast, but same. so so good! wow!! totally favorite musical...my standards for musicals are way way high now. :) :)
2. went to dinner at garfunkels. I actually finished my entree and my main meal...all of it!not the dessert, but for me, that is saying something!lol...it is a cool restaurant. they have such a variety of dishes. love it.
3. went to Ripley's believe it or not! it was so cool! they have this spinning thing and you walk over it on a walkway, but the spinnign thing makes it feel like the whole thing is tilting...i had such a hard time, but i did it! got super dizzy though, but it was cool. they also had a picture of the queen done in pennies, and a document signed by Queen Victoria herself...my knees might have gone weak at that one. they had so many awesome things! a maze of mirrors that i gace up on and went back to the entrance. it was scary!!lol...i can totally understand someone having a breakdown in there. it was a cool museum though...or odditorium as they call it. way cool and lots of fun!
4. Trevor finally responded to me!!only took....3 months or so, but yay! i added him as my facebook friend again. Trevor's one of those poeple that i need to cut off all communication if I want to be and stay mad at him. but he's my friend you know? however, still hold by my statement...he is gonna have to come to me in terms of seeing me. :)
5. my tramp stamp is working...i think. it's supposed to remind me to be more daring right? well, I just told the guy I like about my imagining sleeping with him! more stupid than daring, actually, but i am looking on the bright side...after that, there's nothing i will be too scared to tell a guy. lol...also, it might not be daring if you consider that he got me to say it. how? i dont know...how he gets me to tell him these things...through text messaging no less...oh well. :) :) (not meant to insult the person in question, so please dont get mad!!)
