God's Gifts To Me Today

1. I went to see Othello tonight with Anna and it was so good! I had trouble understanding some of the dialogue but it was still good! it was fun going with someone else. she loves theatre too so maybe we can go to others together as well :)
2. I got my hair straighten today and it looks awesome! :)
3. me and Anna "dressed up" to go to Othello, and I put on makeup and lip gloss and I looked...normal looking :)
4. a bunch of us watched the little mermaid at Brent's house today at 8am(I know, i have strange friends-what's wrong with late morning?)and it was fun. i love that movie!

June 22, 2010 Gifts

1. got a text from Jimmy today!:) so good to hear from my big brother :) sophia is graduating from pre-school, so that's exciting :)
2. went 8 miles(4 times around ACU trail) on my bike tonight! :) my endurance is building up fast! :)
3. still working on module 1 of my ICAL course. it's going slowly because I am taking my time, really trying to learn the material and not rush right through it. so far, I love it :)
4. my shift at work went by fast! I LOVE my job!!

6. I send a group text asking for prayers that I dont run away from counseling due to fear, and Dan texted me back saying that he will and that the trip(to New Orleans)is going amazing. he wasnt sure if he had answered a previous text I send, saying I hoped he had an amazing trip(i thought he didnt take his cell on the trip and so i thought he would get it after he got back, but i guess he took his cell with him lol). I feel crazy...I am so...I feel like a lunatic because I am praying for him so much, like every night before I go to sleep, and I get genuinly excited when I see/hear God working on him and that he's having an amazing time...I am...insane.

1. I listened to "with you" by jessical simpson in my car today, and it was so good! I LOVE THAT SONG!

3. talked with Trevor for a bit on facebook chat, and it was cool. it just drove home the point that...I really am over him. everytime I'm reminded of that makes me feel...awed. there was a time when i didnt believe i could or would get over him. but i did.

June 17, 2010 Gifts

1. I signed up to sponsor  a second child through compassion international: a 6 year old girl name Tatiana from El Salvador! I'm excited : ) a bit freaked because i can afford it but with my trip to China next year I want to save as much as possible, but i know that these children need it more than i do, and its not like it is all i make you know? i can still save. am excited and nervous  but more excited :)
2. got 4 more hours at work! i'll now be working 2-5pm mondays instead of 3-5pm, and 6-9pm wednesdays, so i'll be closing. plus am doing the mail since it gets there at 3pm :) really excited and it doesnt seem like it, but 4 hours does make a difference for ur paycheck.
3. I had dinner with my friend Haley today and it was a lot of fun! we bought Little Panda and took it over to her house(she just moved in) and talked. :)
4. I went on a bike ride around the ACU trail tonight, and even though i'm barely using my bike this summer, i rode 8 miles(4 times)around the track! am definetly feeling it tomorrow but it feels good! made me feel good and those endorphirms really kicked in! :)

June 15, 2010 Gifts From God

1. yesterday I registered and paid for my ICAL/TEFL online course($265) and today I got my user ID and password to the secured student portion of the website, and so my first step was to complete this short questionaire, what i want out of the course, where i hope to work, any experience,etc and so they are going to take my answers and match me up to two tutors, and then i get to chance which of those two tutors i want as my personal tutor during the course. the course has 5 modules, and each module has: the module, checkpoint(multiple choice questions about the information in the module) and then a written assighment. the checkpoint and the written assighment are turned in and then graded, and i can retake the checkpoint as many times as i want until passing, and the same with the written assighment, except the tutor will look the written assighment on it and make comments and then i can make those changes and resubmit...it seems like a good course where they want you to learn and understand and apply the information and not just get through the course. i am really excited!!
2. I bought a subscription to News China(I found it while sorting the mail at my job in the periodicals department at the ACU library). it's the chinese version of newsweek and since i am going to be living there for at least a year, learning as much about the country, culture,language,news,etc will be good. :) i also bought the english edition of the Chinese National Geographic. it is not available in the USA, so i have to pay $40 since I am outside Asia. still, way worth it! i am so excited :)
3. went to lifegroup. it was good and i enjoyed it, so i am not sure about the all girl's thing, but i'll give it one more week or so.
4. had a good drive on my way back from the movies at the mall!
5. went to see prince of persia for the second time. so good!!
6. i started writing this story at work last night, and i only got a page in so i sent it to Dan and Brent and asked them to tell me what they thought, and Dan wrote back saying he liked it, and that it seemed to him i was good at character development! dorky as this will sound, it made me excited that he liked my writing!

God's Gifts To Me Today

1. I went to work today,and continuted the microfilming decarding project. i'm making headway, but still a long ways to go. it's fun though;  i love my job!
2. I had a talk with Brent, and it went...okay. seems like we have different views on almost everything, but I think he's(and Dan-I talked about this to Dan before school let out without giving him the details and not telling him that it was him)right and I should go talk to a counselor about it, the whole story, not just the Dan part.I'm scared, but I'm going to give it a shot. it's then daring thing to do you know? am scared, but i told Brent that if this depresses me, then it's his job to cheer me up. and i am only half kidding on that.
3. I saw Lilli today!! It was SO good to see her! she's only here for a few days, but it was still good to see her!
4. I did not cry today
5. I looked up Antropology graduate programs. I'm thinking of applying to graduate schools for Teaching English as a foreign language and/or Antropology courses, for Fall 2012 or Fall 2013. :)
6. talked to Dan online for a bit today! he's doing good, so I am SO thankful for that! I love him and I want him to have a good summer with God.

God's Gifts To Me Today

1. went to work today and it was a good shift! nerdy as it sounds, my current discarding microfilm and bound volumes project is actually pretty fun!
2. I had a minor fender bender: i backed up into a parked car while i was backing out of a parking space. it was an suv, and i left a bender in their fender(lol) but all's well. my car was not damaged at all(which is good since i only have liability insurance) and the insurence will cover the other person's car, so all's good! it was ironic, coz i was on the way to pay my car insurence bill for june, but the man was really nice about it. he wasnt mad, just took my insurence, and knew that it was an accident, that these things happened, so that was a good blessing. he could have been a lot meaner about it.
3. I went to the wednesday campus ministry activity, which is games and things, and it was a lot of fun! glad i went!
4. after the activity, some of us went to the pizza hut on ambler, and that was a lot of fun! i got to talk to people i dont usually talk to,and the highlight was ordering 8 chicken wings,and getting 20!i only had to pay for the 8 since they mxed up my order, but it was funny! i laughed a lot and it was a good night.
5. i got called a small girl by two guys tonight, so that's a good thing that happened coz i usually think i'm on the big side.
6. awesome bike ride tonight!
7. texted dan tonight and as usual that makes me...happy. he's doing good and loving his internship, though he says it's a bit tough, lot of responsaiblity, but i know he can do it and i am praying for him every night, so i know God's gonna be with him.

June 5, 2010 Gifts From God

1. I went on a road trip to Forth Worth with Abigail,Brent, and Lucas Wright(one of Brent's housemates). it was a lot of fun! we had a lot of laughs. the heat was extreme, so i did get a little bit temporary sick but it was fun!
2. we went to the Forth Worth Zoo, and on our way out(by the flamingos) I ran into Mrs. Rodan, my guidance counselor from 8th grade! she was awesome at her job, and really helped with all the applications and stuff for applying to private high schools. it was so awesome seeing her again! small world :)
3. laughed a lot
4. after dinner(brent and lucas's house) i did the dishes and it was a lot of fun! i know it sounds weird, but I LOVE doing dishes! i would never use the dishwater! i love doing dishes! :) it was fun :)

God's Gifts To Me Today

1. I went to church today, and it was good. during his sermon, Phil(one of the preachers)used a scripture from Romans and Romans 8:6 totally went along with the scripture from Revelation 3 that talks about having a reputation for being alive but being dead. Romans 8:6 kinda explains in a way what the scripture in Revelation 3 is saying; it helps you understand it. it was so neat because it's like God was helping me to understand it more, that He was continuting to teach me what He started to in the Devo you know?
2. after Devo, i play volley in the backyard with some of the people/guys there, and while i cannot say i really played since i was terrible, it was fun :)
3. watched zombieland with some friends at Brent's house and it was so funny!

Gifts To Me Today

1. my friend Haley texted me asking me if I wanted to have lunch with her, and so we  met up at the library on campus. it was good to talk and spend some time with her. it's always nice for me when people invite me personally to do something like that; helps me feel loved and wanted and cared for.
2. work went...okay today. I have A TON of discard to do, which should take forever, but that's why my supervisor Emily have it to me, since she wont be here for the next two weeks. i love my job, but it does...drain me sometimes, as short as my shifts are.
3. I went to see the new Ashton Kutcher movie "killers" tonight. it was funny, though the plot line was a little...weak. still, it was a funny movie.

5. my experiment with Dan, Brent,and Ellen began today, so I'm excited. lol

1. Finished the bike ride I didnt have the emotional strength to finish two years ago after Trevor did his "cease communication" deal. IT FELT SO GOOD! :) :)
2. the latch in my glove box in my car broke, so after a rough time going to different places, I finally found a good mechanic who recoomended I go to the dealer to order the part, which I did, so it'll take about a week.
3. work went by fast. I have a kinda tedious project but I love working there!

God's Gifts on June 2, 2010

1. I got brand new tires for my car!! my baby looks so good! i've never driven a car with brand new tires on it, so I'm excited!! again, my baby looks so good! plus I feel safer now. :) :)
2. I went to ask a question at the UP office about my rent, and turns out that one of my friends is working there! I didnt know he was around this summer, and so it was a nice surprise. we dont hang out, but it was still nice. see, he's what i like to call my "eye-candy"friend, because he's really cute, and so it was nice talking to him for 5 minutes you know? lol
3. my devo2go is still going awesome! God is really using this to open my eyes to some new thoughts and questions and idea,s and scriptures and scripture passages...i dont know where He's going with this but so far, so good. it's definetly a journey that we are on. :)
4. went on the loop for the first time after church today! and...i got lost. yes, i did get lost on the loop. missed an exit, then got off and didnt know where i was and finally asked directions but hey, it all worked out fine. lol and now i can say that I got lost on the loop!!lol
5. I saw a beautiful sunset while I was lost today!
6. dont tell Dan, but it rained today and while i am not crazy about the rain, i do love how clean and clear and fresh and cool the world feels after it rains, plus i love being nice and cozy when it's raining.

1. I went to work today! it was good to be back to work after the holiday. the work was a bit tediours, still reshifting in compact but I think it's all pretty much done! :)
2. I went to Rosa's today and ended up sitting with a bunch of friends. I love people and spending time with them, but that's also my weakness because I always say yes to spending time with people, even though I know that it will end up with me feeling sad because I'll end up alone at the end of it, but it was still good.
3. Brent said today that I was always honest. silly as it is, it kinda made me glad to hear that he thought that. granted, I usually dont say much anyways, but it's nice that he doesnt think I'm a liar or a keeper of secrets or something. lol
4. I went to see a movie tonight. Iron man II for the second time. it'll problaly make more sense if I watch the second one. after, as I was leaving the cinema I had this realization that in china, the movies will all be in Chinese! it kinda freaked out out, because it's going to be this huge change for me, living in china for a year or more, but at the same time I'm looking forward to it. it just made me freak a bit. lol

1. I did the third day of my Devo2go, and it was good! it was about how God sees us, and they had me read Ephesias 1:3-14, and then one of the questions they asked(it comes with a journal so you can follow along and remeber the devos without having to listen to the CD)was what Jesus had to say about me according to the passage. like, for example verse 3 said that He blesses us, so it's saying that I am blessed. I found it so good! it helps to break it down  into what it was saying about how God sees me personally, and not just the collective.
