God's Gifts To Me Today

1. I went to talk to Emily(my supervisor at work)this morning about my work schedule for the fall semester! I brought my fall class schedule, and we talked about my substitute job and how i would need thurday during the day free and wednesdays for church, and it was good! I love working at periodicals because once you're hired, you have a for set job until you quit or graduate! they ask you if your gonna stay during the summer or how until when during the summer, and start planning fall hours before schools lets out(and same for spring semester hours). even if you cant work during the summer you still have a job during the fall. I LOVE it! it is going to be a good summer.
2. I took my third reich paper to the writing center and it was good! a few things to fix but the tutor said she thought it was good. :)
3. Roses are blooming!!
4. I've been in a pretty good mood today, given my stressed out frame of mind right now.
5. I saw Dan today, and I know it's dorky but he always makes me smile and laugh. lol his bangs are getting a bit long and today was windy so he looked so cute with the bangs just blowing across his face like crazy. I think I am so far gone that I can hear his laughter from my spot in the library lobby when he's inside the library! :O anyway, seeing him is always a plus.

God's Gifts To Me Today

1. I finally made the commitment to sponsor a child today! It is through friendship International and it is $38 a month. I am really excited! I've been feeling lately like my faith is not making a difference, like I am not making a difference, so this is one way for me to go out in the world and try to make a difference. I can make a difference for a child and never mind that I am saving to posssibly travel this summer or maybe buy a car if that does not work out. some child needs it just to be able to eat, or have food,etc. so they need it more than I do :)
2. I went on a bike ride around campus just as the sun was setting and it looked gorgeous and it was nice and warm out so it was a good bike ride.
3. I talked to Dan today about fasting and he explained it in a way that made sense to me. He said that it reminds him that if he can go without something that he needs in order to survive(food)for 1,2,3,4,5,etc days in order to be close to God, then he can certainly give up things that are not vital to his survival. I think of it as if you can read a 1,000 page book then you can read a 500 page book. so I am going to try it tomorrow! I will be praying for Dan tomorrow while I am fasting because he is such an amazing guy and I want to pray to God for him. I know, silly but I am excited :) and scared also!
4. I went for an interview today for a temporary 2-3 month job that pays $11 per hour and I think it went okay, so I have a decent shot of getting it :)
5. I laughed a lot today :)
